INVITATION TO SPONSOR
The employees of Hedger Constructions this year wanted to do something that helped raise money for a cause. This cause is Cystic Fibrosis and we are raising money and awareness by riding "Postie" bikes from Alexandra to Townsville. CF is the most common life threatening genetic condition in Australia - and there is no cure. CF is a degenerative condition that affects many of the body's systems, including the lungs and digestion. Children diagnosed with CF live through daily physiotherapy and medications, among other treatments, just to survive.
Within our town there are locals that have been affected by CF. It is with their support and knowledge that we hope to motivate people and companies to dig deep and sponsor or donate in some way. The passion behind this cause is that I lost my younger sister, Michelle, when she was 17 to Cystic Fibrosis. It was hard for her to live with this illness for all of her life and just as hard to be a family member watching it all happen. We want to find a cure so others don't have to go through this hard slog. We also have the Dundas family in the town who deal with all of the CF conditions daily. Their daughter Stephanie tries to live a normal life by playing sport and mixing with her friends but the reality is that her daily life is regulated by CF.
Our team would like to raise as much money as possible to support the Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust in finding a cure. Improvements in treatment over the last 50 years mean that now most children will live to an average age of 38, while previously many didn't live through their teens. This is fantastic progress but has also brought about new health challenges such as CF related diabetes, cancer and osteoporosis. Children and adults with CF and their families also face considerable financial, practical and emotional challenges living with a chronic illness.
Through your help we can find a cure. Please consider supporting our Postie Bike Ride in 2008 as it will help over 3000 families with CF and the many that haven't been born yet.
All participants are funding themselves giving up their own work time and spending time away from their own families in order to make this ride a success. The ride begins on 6th October 2008 starting in Alexandra through New South Wales and ending in Townsville on 14th October, traveling around 2600km. Our route is mapped out in this information package. We are only taking 9 bikes on the ride and as this is an unusual way of traveling such a large distance it will get lots of media coverage and interest. We will be visiting some CF families along the way and helping them in any way we can.
All funds are paid directly to CFA and are therefore totally tax deductible. CFA will issue an official receipt directly to your company. We have included in this information pack a listing of possible sponsorship options for your perusal. Please support this fundraiser in any way that you can. We will be in touch in the next few days to arrange a meeting to discuss the level of your support.
Through being a sponsor you will have the ability to showcase your product or company branding. We will have coverage through the CF website, our website, local and some main stream radio stations and various television networks.

We would like to invite you to become our major sponsor for the Hot Chippies Postie Ride 2008. Becoming an event sponsor or partner plays a vital role in fundraising activities. You can donate a prize, become a financial partner or book a corporate team for our golf day.
Sponsorship may include :
- Sponsoring a Postie bike

We need your support and are more than happy to also give away promotional products in each of the towns we stop in across three states or in participant gift bags, e.g. Rulers, pens, caps, balloons, water bottles etc.
Advertising will also take place through events such as the Truck, Ute and Road Show (12,000 people attend), our website, the CF website and various media coverage across 3 states.
Once we reach Townsville the bikes will be auctioned by Cystic Fibrosis at a dinner held at the end of the ride.

On our golf day and along the ride we have a range of fundraising activities including raffles and live auctions. You may be able to provide a product, time or "money can't buy" opportunities for our fundraising. Acknowledgement for prize donation may include:

2. Financial Partner
Financial partner packages range from $5000 to $15,000 are available for all events held for Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust (CFRT). Packages can be custom tailored to suit your needs or you can sign up for one of our exciting corporate packages which may include:

3. Postie Bike Sponsorship
$5000 plus signwriting.
Our main sponsorship idea is to have each Postie Bike sponsored by a company and sign written with your companies branding.
Postie bike will be on display at the Truck, Ute and Rod Show which draws a crowd of approximately 12,000.
Postie bike will be doing training runs throughout regional Victoria in the lead up to the actual ride.
Various media coverage across 3 states
A great marketing device which is already drawing plenty of attention.
Postie bike will be on display at Corporate Golf Day
Bikes will be auctioned at the end of the ride and donated back to CF. You will have the opportunity to purchase back your bike and retain for the company.
Company name will be on the riders shirts worn on the ride.

All sponsors will have their names listed in all programs and on all advertising produced for the Postie bike ride. They will be seen on media coverage and also heard on radio stations along the route of the ride.
$4,000 sponsorship: Purchase 2 large flags for display on the rear of the lead vehicle.
$2,000 sponsorship: Rear panel of the parts truck sign written with their business logos
$2000 sponsorship: Signage on the side of the parts truck and the bonnet of the lead vehicle.
$1000 sponsorship: Logo placement on back of rider jacket/s
$500 sponsorship: Logo placement on riders helmet/s
$100 sponsorship: Company name listed on riders shirts
